My Story

Hi! I'm Michael

At 15, my life changed forever.

A year earlier, I had begun experiencing blackouts, loss of balance, head pain, and diminished sight in one eye. After months of uncertainty, a brain scan revealed a large cancerous tumor.

Everything changed overnight. Surgery and a long hospital stay left me deaf in one ear, blind in one eye, and partially paralyzed on my left side. I had to relearn how to walk and balance, facing a world that now felt entirely different. Through months of recovery, including acupressure therapy, I regained some movement—but my journey was just beginning.

Adapting to my new reality was challenging, especially in education and work. Yet, through these struggles, I developed resilience, adaptability, empathy, and deep compassion. It wasn’t until my late 30s that my path truly unfolded.

After co-starting a health and well-being shop and therapy center, I discovered sound healing. It was an awakening—like a light switching on inside me. Sound became my medicine, unlocking healing and transformation in ways I never imagined. In 2005, I began formal training in Sound Therapy, followed by advanced studies in therapeutic sound and voice. In 2024, I completed a year-long training in tuning forks, further deepening my practice.

In my 20 years of working with therapeutic sound, I have shared its benefits in many ways—through individual andn group sound treatments, single-day and multi-day workshops on sound healing techniques, storytelling with sounds in primary schools, as well as talks and community events.

Looking back, I see how every challenge shaped me into who I am today. I no longer feel limited by my disabilities—I feel empowered. Helping others heal and reconnect with themselves through sound is my passion and privilege.

Life still presents challenges, but now, with sound as my ally, I navigate them with greater ease and flow. My mission is to share this gift, empowering others to find their own strength, healing, and harmony.

Thank you,

Michael
